Tainan: Day 8 to Day 12 (16Nov – 20Nov)

Traveling from Yilan to Tainan means we have to take a bus back to Taipei Railway for a transfer. This was probably the easiest and fastest route to get to Tainan as Yilan was kind of in between. We didn’t mind it at all since the ride was full of scenic views and the bus was clean and comfortable. The timing was right after lunch for us and Charley even managed to take a nap! Many locals travel via bus […]

Yilan: Day 4 to Day 8 (12Nov – 16Nov)

So who exactly did we see? Read on to see who’s our handsome Airbnb host! Yes, we backpacked our way to Taiwan with a kiddo in tow, can you believe it? How did we do it? Well, Charley only drinks FM once a day and she eats the rest of her meals like us so it was relatively easy. She is also potty-trained but I would say diapers are easily available where we picked our stay. But what I really […]

Taipei: Day 1 to Day 4 (9Nov – 12Nov)

We departed Singapore at 8:15am and reached Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport around 1:05pm. Transportation to the city has been made convenient with the Express Train Service from Taoyuan MRT. You can get to Taipei Main Station and switch to wherever you’re headed. In our case, our Airbnb was at Liuzhangli 六張犁; while it was super convenient with 7-11s around us and a foot massage right down our living space, I wouldn’t recommend staying around this station because we had to cross to the other […]

22 days in Taiwan

So we recently spent 22 November days in Taiwan! If not for my boy who didn’t join us on this trip, I doubt I would want to come back home! Taiwan has been our go-to travel destination most of the time…my husband says Taiwan is the only place he is willing to travel to in this lifetime, but I hope that we will have other places available on his map soon. Traveling is so…tiring with kids and I won’t lie […]

Who do you love most?

Keisen is turning 1 in a few days time! It’s crazy how time flies…to think I have been caring for this little being for almost a year (or more since he was curated for 9 months!) I am planning a mini tea party for this boy’s birthday, afterall I’ve got one planned for Charley when she was 1, so how could I sit this one out? I must be fair right?  With 2 kiddos now, the question I get asked […]

The difference between us.

Between the siblings that is. When Baby 2 pushed me back to square 1 on how to take care of a newborn, this phrase often came to my mind. “No two babies are the same” Of course, they still sleep, they nap, they drink their milk, they teeth and they poo, but really, no two babies are exactly the same. I often have friends who tells me that looking after their firstborn was a nightmare but their second kiddo turns out to […]

My loots from Toddle.sg (Review & Promocode)

My cousin always told me that if there was an opening for a job position as an ‘online personal shopper’, that would be my calling. I have no qualms about that, except that most moms like myself would have very well fitted into that position too. With 1 kid, I could easily go to the supermarket or the malls to get what I needed. With 2 – a running toddler and a going 6-month old infant, I take my shopping […]

Confinement Menu

Earlier I’ve mentioned about this confinement menu I’ve done up for myself as a guide to the Confinement Nanny. The dishes are fairly simple because I prefer a clear palette and most of them are kids-friendly where stated. However, this is just a reference so feel free to edit where you’d like. Please view it here  Share This:

Hiring a confinement nanny (Part 2)

I can’t wait for confinement to be over. That was the only thought on my head for that full month and I would be highlighting some hits and misses for that duration. On most days, I fancied that I didn’t have to cook by myself. Especially the preparation of ingredients for cooking cause that actually takes the most time. However, the food were too oily and salty for our taste. I had prepared a menu, yes, I did allowed the CN […]

Happy Birthday to the Man of the House

On the same day last year, our dear daughter was unable to sing Papa a birthday song. This year, she sang two versions! In both english and mandarin! Exactly how many birthday celebrations they had in school that she was able to sing the mandarin version in full….I wonder I guess nobody enjoys birthday celebrations more than Charley since she is mostly the one blowing out the candles! This year’s birthday was also much different as we’ve the company of […]
