We are Chinese!

You know how my Chinese name goes by the initial TYZ? My surname is Tan and my husband’s is Toh. He tried finding a name that coincides with what I have, which was pretty sweet of him. But the name he came up with was just too traditional for me to accept. I made noises and said bean doesn’t like it either. ^^ The name reminds me of someone who acts in those traditional movies where women binds their feet […]

Today I am going to talk about…

MEN. and Delivering Babies. I’ve totally no love for men who determine (and made that a final option) on how their pregnant wives should deliver their babies. From all the stories I’ve heard, one of the worst I’ve heard thus far was that this man thinks that, if the wife go ahead with epidural during natural birth, she is not a real woman who has experienced child birthing. I thought it was pretty nonsensical that his entire family thinks the […]

The beginning of aches.

Bean currently weighs 700g while I’ve conveniently put on about 7kg. You can’t tell where that 7kg went to and I can’t tell you how much I’m aching all over, especially my feet. Just standing a mere 15 mins or waiting for a 6 mins train to arrive is almost taking my life. That doesn’t work well that I have close to zero patience. I haven’t had the luxury of time to blog about any updates for the last two […]

Ahhh-Choo!

That’s the tone to sneezing just in case you didn’t realize. Haha! I have been sneezing non stop since the day I was preg. It’s by no way any sort of coincidence. I was already very allergic to dust, but I believe I was even more so into pregnancy. The sneeze is like a non-stop remix on days…and for the rest of the days, my nose is just really dsturbed by itches from dust. To make matters worse, I sometimes […]

Happy 4 months baby!

On my last week’s visit to the gynae, bean was 4 months old! How time flies with the blink of an eye. Like the last post I said that gender doesn’t matter, it still doesn’t matter to me. It’s not on a need to know basis, it was more of a good to know basis personally. I can’t wait to start buying clothes for bean, regardless of gender. Knowing the gender also gives us a better lap time of naming […]

I’m a PG SAHM with slight M/S and my GYN is awesome.

That said, it actually meant ‘I’m a Pregnant Stay At Home Mum with slight Morning Sickness and my Gynecologist is Awesome’. Did you have the same frustrations as me? Reading those forum with these abbreviations and acronyms that doesn’t quite make sense at all? Ok, maybe some are easily guessed, such as EDD (Estimated Delivery Date), that’s a must know basic for everyone. I understand that it must be quite crazy to type out the full forms of some acronyms or it’s […]

You are what you watch.

Don’t be silly. There’s nothing wrong with watching horror shows. Nothing proven scientifically anyways. So that said, we can attribute this saying to one of the olden days old wives tale/myth. The only thing that kept me about 50/50 at bay is the shocks I can possibly get when there is a scare scene.. but unless you get nightmares or you grow too deeply into the show and imagine you are a lethal killing machine. I honestly think it is […]
