Comparison is the thief of joy.

You know how most of the time most parents get so concerned about babies hitting their milestones..and when they don’t hit, they are not in the ‘normal’ range? Or your kid cant do his/her spelling when other kids her age could? I believed that society has moulded us into this so-called ‘kancheong’ and ‘kiasu’ parents (a hokkien slang) and this is a mental note to remind myself not to fall into this category. Because every baby is different. If we […]

My purchase at Le Petit Society

The other day I was hoping to win the voucher giveaway from Le Petit Society but booya, I didn’t get it! Congrats to the lucky winner. Also, I was a little upset not being able to take advantage of the little sale they have extended to their shoppers over the Christmas period since I’ve already done my purchases.. But this shall pass because I like shopping at their site! So my parcel arrived at my doorstep: The parcel was wrapped […]

The thing about Spoonfeeding.

I remembered those days where I was younger and our teachers often spoon feed us with answers. When I was much younger my mum spoon fed me because I couldn’t hold my own utensils yet. But how and when should we stop spoon feeding our young ones? Yes, we all know that we will always remain as our parent’s child even when we turn 50 but honestly there should be a stop to it? An article recently on the Sunday […]

This is only Temporary.

I’ve recently came across an article where a writer/mum writes about the these four words: This is only Temporary; which speaks about the happiness and depressions of raising a baby. Being a new mum (I considered myself fairly new since baby Charley is 4.5 months old), I can tell you that this is not an easy job. Being a SAHM is not easy, yes.. given the luxury not to miss any milestones the little one hits is pure joy but […]

A recent purchase

I’ve stumbled upon Le Petit Society and made some purchases after much consideration. As you know, I’m currently a SAHM and I would prefer to spend my money wisely..then again, I could never resist good buys and shopping for the little one! What I love about this site is that they offer free delivery in Asia, even though their selection is not a lot. I would have thought that their founders are from Hongkong given the currency stated on the […]

Update at 3.5 months old

So I have been busying myself with Charley that I have been neglecting my blog. Taking some time to indulge myself with some chocolate and catching up on some news and music while she sleeps peacefully beside me. As the tracks played in my ears, I am suddenly brought back the the days where Charley wasn’t born yet. Don’t get me wrong, I love having her with me now but of course, I also relished being single, being married with […]

Review on Ergobaby carrier

It’s been awhile since my last review and since Charley is sleeping and I’m not sleepy I thought I’ll just find some time to write about my experience with Ergobaby carrier for the past 2 months plus. Here’s me, Charley and our Ergobaby: Thanks to some Mothercare vouchers given by the husband’s colleagues at the office, we went to get a baby carrier for ease of bringing Charley out and about. We’ve previously read up about carriers and we didn’t […]

Help! The milk is on my tongue!

Just showing off her milk tongue to the rest of the world! Every morning during bath time, we would use the soft little square cloth to wipe her tongue in circles to help clean it as much as we can. Sometimes we use the cleaning wipes that fits onto our fingers that we purchased from Mothercare, but I’d only use it alternatively. One, its too costly. Two, its banana flavored and contains xylitol. Not too comfy to use it too […]

Let’s boogie tonight?

Poor baby. Charley was being whiny and fussy, constantly wanted to be held to sleep (okay maybe our fault for carrying her too much during confinement but who could resist isn’t it?) and snorting. Wait a minute, snorting? My poor baby was having a bout of nose blocked and she’s not having it easy. Charley has been finding it tough to breathe recently. Initially I shrug bit off (Not being irresponsible since I was monitoring her) because babies usually sneeze […]
