This is only Temporary.

I’ve recently came across an article where a writer/mum writes about the these four words: This is only Temporary; which speaks about the happiness and depressions of raising a baby. Being a new mum (I considered myself fairly new since baby Charley is 4.5 months old), I can tell you that this is not an easy job. Being a SAHM is not easy, yes.. given the luxury not to miss any milestones the little one hits is pure joy but […]

Help! The milk is on my tongue!

Just showing off her milk tongue to the rest of the world! Every morning during bath time, we would use the soft little square cloth to wipe her tongue in circles to help clean it as much as we can. Sometimes we use the cleaning wipes that fits onto our fingers that we purchased from Mothercare, but I’d only use it alternatively. One, its too costly. Two, its banana flavored and contains xylitol. Not too comfy to use it too […]

Let’s boogie tonight?

Poor baby. Charley was being whiny and fussy, constantly wanted to be held to sleep (okay maybe our fault for carrying her too much during confinement but who could resist isn’t it?) and snorting. Wait a minute, snorting? My poor baby was having a bout of nose blocked and she’s not having it easy. Charley has been finding it tough to breathe recently. Initially I shrug bit off (Not being irresponsible since I was monitoring her) because babies usually sneeze […]

First-Time Parents

I have been so held up with taking care of Charley that I simply have close to zilch energy to blog recently. Forgive the hiatus. So what have been we been up to? Many times people wonder how could one be so busy taking care of baby. Shouldn’t bonding time be free and easy? Not quite so. I could tell you most of my time is taken up feeding and burping baby, trying to coax her to sleep, washing bottles […]

The Pediatrician

When Charley was born, she was directed to a pediatrician (PD) recommended under my gynae. Me and the hubs didn’t really went to google much about this PD. Or we did, and the Internet has very little info about her. Our PD is Dr. Ratna Sridjaja. You can see Charley doing ‘breakdancing’ as Dr. Ratna does the routine checkup for her, haha! If you’re heading towards Gleneagles to deliver your baby, I’m highly recommending her to be your PD. Dr. […]

Little Charley.

If you haven’t already knew by now, we have a new addition to our family! Little Ms. Charley! It’s pronounced as ‘Shar-lee’ btw. I know the name is not very gender specific but that’s the way we like it. Currently we are trying to fix up her chinese name. Initially we didn’t think about going to a master to calculate the suitability of her name based on her bazi. But since we have went for a horoscopic caesarean.. We might […]

See you tomorrow Bean!

It’s quite amazing how the days go by just like that, into months, and before you know it..we’re having a baby.. tomorrow! I’m not sure if I have any energy to blog about anything post-delivery or even hours before it so I guess I’m writing it before I enter into a panic attack. Haha! I’m also very happy to have found a fellow mum who happens to be delivering in the same hospital as I am tomorrow, all through the […]

Packing for Bean.

I’m sure as first time parents like us you’ll want to bring every single thing you’ve bought for the little one. It’s the same for us. With every item we packed, it’s like ‘hey, let’s bring another one..let’s take this too..let’s bring more, we can choose later…more variety!’ And then the bag gets heavier. The husband always say that it doesn’t matter cause he’s the one carrying it. (Of course I can’t be the one carrying it, I’m already carrying […]

In the blink of an eye.

So the grand date for bean is finally selected. I do not have months left to anticipate the arrival of the little one, it’s down to days. I’m excited and scared at the same time… As the husband puts it, my being is ‘one in a million’ cause I cry too easily and often over silly things. This time it’s not over silly things but perhaps I’m scaring myself a little too much @@ I have opted for caesarean over […]
